Join us for an engaging night of learning and discovery as we hear from expert voices and learn how we can work together to protect our local landscapes. The Under the Canopy Series is a recurring speaker event hosted by the The Lake Oswego Watershed Council. These gatherings are designed to bridge the gap between the latest science and community stewardship.
What to Expect
From the deep roots of our legacy Oregon White Oaks to the critical headwaters of our local creeks, our guest presenters explore the vital intersections of land, water, climate, and community. Our talks dive deep into the elements that make Lake Oswego a resilient ecosystem, including:
- Watershed Health: Protecting the “cold, clean water” that sustains our lake and wildlife.
- Regenerative Landscaping: Transforming urban spaces into thriving habitat corridors.
- Living Soil: Discover the underground networks that fuel your yard’s health and resilience.
- Native Biodiversity: Creating habitat for pollinators, birds, and beneficial insects in our own backyard.
Connect and Collaborate
The Under the Canopy Series is more than a lecture—it is a space to ask questions, share local knowledge, and connect with fellow residents who care about the future of our watershed.
Arrive Early! We encourage guests to come early to grab a seat, meet a neighbor, and settle in for a night of inspiring nature dialogue.
What to get involved? Become a volunteer! Support us at this Science talk event or help out at our regular weekend restoration sites.
